WALU TRADING LTD ("we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 11882822, with our registered office at Edmund House, 12-22 Newhall Street, Birmingham, England, B3 3AS. 2. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data you provide when you request a quote or contact us, which may include:
- your name and job title;
- your company name;
- your email address and telephone number;
- shipment details you choose to share (origin, destination, cargo description).
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and this website is intended for business use.
3. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your quote requests and enquiries (necessary to take steps to enter into a contract with you);
- provide and administer freight services you book with us (performance of a contract);
- comply with legal obligations, including customs, export control and accounting requirements;
- maintain business records and protect our legal rights (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share your data with
Where necessary to provide our services, we may share relevant data with airlines, road hauliers and other carriers, customs authorities and government agencies, our insurers, and our professional advisers. Where a shipment is international, this may involve transferring data outside the UK; where we do so, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection as required by UK data protection law.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep quote enquiries for up to 24 months from last contact. Records relating to shipments are retained for the period required by customs, tax and accounting legislation (typically six years), after which they are securely deleted.
6. Cookies and third-party content
This website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. It loads fonts and scripts from third-party content delivery networks (Google Fonts, Tailwind CSS, Iconify), which may receive your IP address as a technical necessity of serving those files. 7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights including:
- the right to access the personal data we hold about you;
- the right to have inaccurate data corrected;
